Have you ever had those little experiences that leave you just knowing it was a God thing. How could it be anything else, you wonder, as your mind goes through the events with a sense of awe.
This just happened to my beau and I. We were on our way to the hospital for a procedure, for which he was quite anxious. He and I have a very good relationship and are able to talk about matters of the spirit. Trying to lift him from his angst, I reflected on my own wavering faith. I then said to my beau, "It may not seem as though God is with you, and then there are always these little reminders throughout life that remind you He is there." I continued. "Though I may not feel Him at present, if I reflect on all of the moments across my life, it's like those moments weave the threads of a fabric. And that acts like a safety net when I fall." He nodded in agreement. Then to pass the time, I asked him to read our morning meditations for the day while I was driving.
My beau then proceeded to read the following from Jesus Calling by Sarah Young for February 18th.
'I AM WITH YOU. These four words are like a safety net, protecting you from falling into despair. "
I said out loud "I can not believe it. " Even though I do believe it,
We just described those moments when you know it has to be a God Thing. When I reflected on them interspersed throughout my life, I envisioned a bunch of threads coming together for form a safety net. And then seconds later, beau is reading those very words which make manifest what I am talking about.
Enough said. He is here and He is with us. And He is our safety net.
